Blur’s Alex James is known for his cheese making and his farm house – and has now decided to combine both of his careers into one, by announcing that he will hold a music festival on his beloved Oxfordshire estate.
The festival, entitled ‘Harvest’, will include music from great artists like KT Tunstall, and a food celebration area which will attract such famous ‘foodies’ as Richard Corrigan, Mark Hix and Yotam Ottolenghi.
Alex himself is excited at the prospect of the festival, saying "We'll throw open the farm gates for Harvest this September. My family are looking forward to a celebration of all our favourite things - food, the farm and music. What more could we ask for?"
Although there’ll be a massive stage and artists playing on all four days, the festival is just as strongly food-oriented, with gardening and cooking workshops and a farmer’s markets throughout the September based festival – and is said by organisers to include "the very best of the British food scene alongside a soundtrack of the finest bands around”.
It is unknown whether Blur will be performing at the festival, but it’s obviously a good bet at a festival held on James’ own estate. Singer Damon Albarn has already revealed recently that Blur would return to recording tracks. Watch the Stereoboard news section for any more announcements on the festival!
