Kimberly Walsh Claims “Girls Aloud will never break up”

Monday, 07 February 2011 Written by James Conlon

Girls Aloud's Kimberly Walsh has shown her optimism by claiming that the girl group “will never break up”.

In a recent interview with Cosmipolitan the singer claimed that the group would definitely be coming out of their current hiatus in 2012, with plans for touring and another release. When asked if the group had split up, she said: "No way. I don’t think we’ll ever officially break up, to be honest. It’ll be more a case of having breaks to go out and do little things we want to do, then coming back again.

Walsh continued: "We’ll definitely tour again. We’re a live act; that’s where we come into our own. Who knows - we might even have babies on board next time!"

Despite promising an eventual comeback, Walsh seemed more than content with the idea of eventually rejoining the public and fading into obscurity one day. She said: "Bring on that day - it doesn’t bother me at all. I genuinely never ever got in it for the fame. I'm not one who feels the need for adoration. No matter what way you look at it, it’s a privileged job. How can I moan about things that come with it? I can’t."

Meanwhile, Walsh has discussed the recent riff with fellow bandmate Nadine Coyle in an interview with OK! magazine. She claimed that there was no hostility between Coyle and the rest of the group, but said that the rumours had begun because of Coyle choosing to live in LA while the other Girl Aloud members remained in London.

She said: "[Coyle] moved away to Los Angeles years ago, and it naturally distanced her from all the things we are doing here. The four of us go out more with each other, because we are over here and Nadine is over there. But she is still very much a part of the group and there’s not an issue on our part. We have shared so much together, the five of us. I don’t think we will ever lose that bond."
