The makers of Glee have revealed that the show will be releasing an album featuring music from the Dalton Academy Warblers this April. The fictional all-boys vocal group first appeared in an episode of the musical comedy entitled ‘Never Been Kissed’ and have gone on to become fan favourites.
According to American magazine TV Guide, the show will be releasing an album focusing entirely on the male group, presumably including songs that the Warblers have performed during the second season of the show. The group made their debut with a rendition of Katy Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream’ and have also given a performance of Train’s summer hit ‘Hey Soul Sister’.
Featuring key characters Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss), the Dalton Academy Warblers have also performed Destiny's Child's 'Bills, Bills, Bills', Robin Thicke's 'When I Get You Alone' and Wings' 'Silly Love Songs'.
No tracklisting for the album has been released yet, but it is believed that the soundtrack will feature Maroon 5’s ‘Misery’ and Neon Trees’ ‘Animal’, both of which will be performed by the group in upcoming episodes of the show.
