Lily Allen Speaks About Eating Disorder And Miscarriage

Lily Allen has opened up for the first time about her miscarriage last November. Allen discussed the loss and also the fact that she has fought an eating disorder in the past during an interview for a Channel 4 documentary.

During the documentary, which will focus on the singer launching her own clothes shop, Allen said: "There was a point last summer where I had an eating disorder. I used to vomit after meals. It is not something I am proud of. But I tell you what, a lot of people used to come up to me and tell me how great I looked and I was on the cover of every magazine with them saying 'Lily is looking amazing - look how much weight she has lost'."

She continued: "I thought I looked good and it was great to try on clothes and walk out of the shop feeling a million dollars. When you have been a victim of people saying the complete opposite, you want more of it. But I wasn't happy, I really wasn't."

The documentary initially begun filming while Allen was pregnant, but shooting stopped after the singer suffered her second miscarriage in November. In her first interview since the crew returned to continue shooting, Allen described the experience, saying: "It was a really long battle - and I think that kind of thing changes a person."

Lily Allen: From Riches To Rags starts on March 15th at 10pm on Channel 4.
