Justin Hawkins Gobsmacked By Reactions To The Darkness Reunion

After rumours that the Darkness would be reforming, lead singer Justin Hawkins has responded to the massively positive reaction his fans gave, saying he is ‘gobsmacked’.

The band have confirmed that they will return to the music scene since their split in 2007, and have also announced their capture of a slot at this year’s Download festival.

Speaking about the bands reformation, Hawkins admitted "It was frustrating for a long time to not be able to tell anybody because we've had to sort of keep it a secret, it was like a forbidden romance without the trail.

"The main thing for us is to make sure that musically we turn the experience into something positive again."

The eccentric singer then spoke on twitter at his happiness at fans responses, writing "Thanks for all the lovely messages of support, I'm gobsmacked and overwhelmed by all the positivity in and around The Darkness!"
