Pendulum Added to Eden Sessions 2011

Drum’n’bass six-piece Pendulum have been confirmed as the latest headliners for this year’s Eden Sessions in Cornwall. Pendulum will play at the event on Saturday 25th June. They follow previously-announced headliners Primal Scream, Flaming Lips, Fleet Foxes and The Killers’ Brandon Flowers. More acts are still to be announced.

Last year, Australian group Pendulum released their third album ‘Immersion’, which went straight into the UK Albums Chart at Number One. The album included the Top 10 single ‘Watercolour’ and followed the band’s previous hit album ‘In Silico’. As well as Eden Sessions, Pendulum are also due to be playing this year’s T in the Park, Download and V festivals.

The Eden Sessions, which takes place at the Eden Project near St Austell, Cornwall, is now in its tenth year and has previously hosted performances from the likes of Oasis, Kasabian, Mumford & Sons, Florence and the Machine, Muse, Paul Weller, Jack Johnson, Hot Chip, Snow Patrol, Moby, PJ Harvey and The Verve. This year’s event will feel more like a one-day festival than ever before, with three stages featuring some of the best up-and-coming acts playing from early afternoon on each day as well as world-famous headliners.

Tjarko Wieringa, Eden Sessions Creative Director, said: “Pendulum are another great act for this year’s Sessions and their energy, enthusiasm and sci-fi sensibility is the perfect fit for Eden’s unique amphitheatre. The line-up for this year is taking shape and we’re really excited to be hosting some of the best live acts around. We’re confident that the tenth year of Eden Sessions will be the best we’ve ever seen.”
