Dave Grohl: “You Shouldn’t Have To Do F**king Glee”

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has become the latest in a string of musicians to criticise ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy for the culture that he has created around the hit US show.

Murphy has entered into a series of online feuds over the past year after several musicians have hit out at the show, criticising in particular its reliance on auto-tune technology. The creator famously called Kings Of Leon “Self-centred assholes” late last year after a war of words with the band on Twitter.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Grohl commented on the show, saying: "You shouldn't have to do f***ing Glee. And then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we're not, like, begging to be on his f***ing show...I watched ten minutes [of it]. It's not my thing."

He continued: "Slash was the first one. [Murphy] wanted to do Guns N' Roses, and Slash is like, 'I hate f**king musicals. It's worse than 'Grease''. Then [Murphy's] like, 'Well, of course he'd say that. He's a washed-up ol' rock star. That's what they f**king do'”.

"And then Kings of Leon say, 'No, we don't want to be on your show'. And then he's like, 'Snotty little a**holes...' It's just like, 'Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included'."
