Reading Festival Event Organisers Plan To Launch US Music Festival

With Reading and Leeds festival tickets going onsale and selling out within 20 minutes this evening, those unable to get tickets may like to know that organisers are planning to launch a new event in the US!
Planned for this November, Festival Republic, the company behind both Reading and Leeds festivals, have revealed plans to stage a 50,000-capacity music bash in Orlando, Florida. You definitely wont need the wellies for that one!
Speaking about the planned new festival, Festival Republic Managing Director Melvin Benn told efestivals.co.uk. "Festival Republic is not called Festival Republic because we couldn't think of a better name. We love festivals - it's what we live and breathe for. An opportunity came up in America that I wanted to take, [and] if an opportunity comes up in another country of course I'll look at it and want to do it."
The line-up for both the UK's 2011 Reading and Leeds festivals has just been announced with tickets for the bank-holiday music festivals selling-out in under 20 minutes. For details on the full line-up, click here.
