Paul Simon to Release New Album ‘So Beautiful or So What’ in June

Paul Simon has announced that he is to release his new album ‘So Beautiful or So What’ on June 13th. As previously reported by Stereoboard, Simon will tour the UK in June and July shortly after the album’s release. ‘So Beautiful or So What’ is Simon’s twelfth solo album to date and his first release in five years, following 2006’s Top 10 album ‘Surprise’. He is set to play a six-date UK tour starting at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall on 23rd June. See below for all dates.
Paul Simon first began working on a solo career after the release of the classic album ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, his last with Art Garfunkel, in 1970. His eponymous debut came out in 1972 and included the singles ‘Mother and Child Reunion’ and ‘Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard’. His most highly-regarded solo work to date is arguably his seventh album ‘Graceland’, which was released in 1986. It included the hit single ‘You Can Call Me Al’ and has since gone five-times Multi-Platinum in both the UK and the US.
