Manchester Orchestra Première Video To New Song 'Simple Math'

Wednesday, 13 April 2011 Written by Jon Stickler

Manchester Orchestra have unveiled the video for new song 'Simple Math'. Check it out below.

Having just arrived in the UK for two sold-out gigs, Simple Math are set to release the album 'Simple Math' on May 9th.

Premiering the video on the Independent Film Committee's website, the IFC had this to say about the forthcoming new album. "The band's sophomore album 'Mean Everything to Nothing' was hailed as a masterpiece, which meant there were a lot of expectations for the young band's next effort. But instead of living up to those expectations, Manchester Orchestra far surpassed them. Their new album, 'Simple Math', due to hit stores on May 10th, is an album of intricate beauty and well-crafted songs, that reveal a depth of emotion far belying their youth.

The video that accompanies 'Simple Math' reveals the dark thoughts and intensity of emotion interwoven into the song. It is heartwrenching and beautiful and raises questions that may not have an answer.”

Manchester Orchestra will play the following UK shows:

Thursday 14th April – XOYO, London
Sunday 16th April – Ruby Lounge, Manchester
