Adele has expressed her love for the likes of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, but admited that she would never follow in theri footsteps and go down the route of exposing her body in the name of her music.
The London-born singer, who is once again top of the US album charts with ‘21’, told Rolling Stone: "I don't like going to the gym. I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine. Even if I had a really good figure, I don't think I'd get my tits and ass out for no one."
She continued: "I love seeing Lady Gaga's boobs and bum. I love seeing Katy Perry's boobs and bum. Love it. But that's not what my music is about. I don't make music for eyes. I make music for ears."
Midweek chart figures have revealed that Adele’s 11-week run at the top of the UK albums chart is likely to be broken on Sunday, as Foo Fighters find their sales stride with recent release ‘Wasting Light’.
Adele also referenced her ex-boyfriend in the interview. Speaking about the man who was the inspiration behind much of ‘21’, Adele claimed that her former flame was “artistic, but not romantic". She said: "We'd just bicker over a cup of tea or the fact that my lighter wasn't working. He made me an adult and put me on the road that I'm travelling on."
