Megadeth to Remastering Peace Sells... Album Featuring New Liner Notes From Lars Ulrich

Metal mega-stars Megadeth are remastering their 1986 platinum album ‘Peace Sells... But who’s Buying?’- which will feature notes from Metallica’s Lars Ulrich.

The band have decided to re-release the album in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the best-selling album, due to hit stores on July 11th.

This new edition will also include new liner notes written by vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine, in which he explores how and why he wrote the title track of the LP, as well as from their long-standing rival’s drummer Lars. Fans will also receive a previously unreleased CD of a concert taken from the band’s first ever world tour in 1987.

Thrash metal fans will be eager to read the new notes which include the legendary Metallica drummer, and Ulrich himself has admitted he is a huge fan of the album.

"When 'Peace Sells..' came out in '86, it just blew me away," said the drummer.

"That was right up my alley, that literally became my favourite record for a long time."

He also went on to put aside any notions of the long-running dispute between the two bands, saying of Mustaine: "I've always admired him. He's an incredibly talented musician."
