My Chemical Romance Launch 'Planetary (Go!)' Remix Competition

My Chemical Romance have launched a new competition in which fans can remix the band’s recent single ‘Planetary (Go!)’ in order to win a pair of tickets to see the band conquer the main stage at this summer’s Reading or Leeds Festival.  The winner will also receive a years pro plus soundcloud account worth €500. Two runners up will also win a years soundcloud lite account worth €29.

To enter, budding remixers need to head to My Chemical Romance’s Soundcloud channel (http://soundcloud.com/my-chemical-romance/sets/planetary-go-remix-stems) in order to download a selection of stems which they can use to craft their own mix. When the mix is ready, entrants can simply upload it to the dropbox at http://soundcloud.com/my-chemical-romance/dropbox/.

The competition closes on May 27th when a winner will be selected. All entrants must be aged 16 years or older. If the winner chosen is under 18 years old, the winner must be accompanied by an adult who must use the second ticket.

‘Planetary (Go!)’ is taken from My Chemical Romance’s current album ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’ which the band have been building towards their entire, nearly decade long career. From soaring sentiment (‘The Only Hope for Me is You’) to bare-knuckled brawling in the streets (‘DESTROYA’) it defies lazy labels and demolishes expectations. Beholden to no scene, credo or code it’s a rock ’n’ roll album from the future aimed directly at the dead-hearted present. “Next year it’ll be ten years since we’ve been together,” says guitarist Frank Iero. “That’s a long time to stay in one shade. And I think if you’ve been a fan of our band for a long time then you need these different feelings in your life, these different emotions to come through. And I know that because it’s what we need right now.”

My Chemical Romance’s next single, ‘Bulletproof Heart’, is scheduled for June 13th.
