Dub Pistols’ Barry Ashworth Releases Free DJ Mix Ahead of Live Shows

DJ and Dub Pistols founder Barry Ashworth has released a new mix entitled ‘On a Breaks Mission Vol. 2’ which can be heard here. In May, Dub Pistols are to release a new remix album called ‘Re Hash’, which features a collection of their own tracks reworked by a number of artists including former Leftfield member Paul Daley, Bushwacka, Wrong Tom, Ben & Lex, 2 Bit Thugs and Kouncil House. Barry will also be performing a number of DJ sets, as well as some Dub Pistols live shows, over the coming months.
Barry Ashworth formed Dub Pistols in 1996 and the group released their debut album ‘Point Blank’ in 1998. The album featured the singles ‘There’s Gonna Be a Riot’ and ‘Best Got Better’. The band have released four albums to date and are currently working on the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Rum & Coke’, which is expected sometime this year.
