Status Quo to be Honoured at 02 Silver Clef Awards

Veteran rockers Status Quo are to be recognised as one of the greatest band’s in the world as they are set to be award a life-time achievement award at the 02 Silver Clef Awards.
The ceremony, taking place on July 1st, will be held at the London Hilton and is a prestigious event which features high-status musicians and A-listers throughout. Other stars to received honours at the service are South London rapper Tinie Tempah, singer-songwriter Annie Lennox and celebrated tenor Alfie Boe.
Quo, who are set play a number of shows through June and July, said “We are proud and honoured to be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Silver Clef Lunch.
“To be receiving this award from an organisation who have been transforming lives through music for over 50 years makes this an even greater honour.”
The Silver Clef award isn’t the only award the band’s members have picked up in recent times, with Quo duo Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt receiving OBE’s from the Queen last year.
