Spice Girls' Geri Halliwell Planning To Relaunch Solo Career

Ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has revealed that she wants to re-ignite her solo career and is working on new material, according to a source at the Daily Express

The singer is apparently working on a new album, which she has entitled ‘Putting on the Bling’, that she hopes to finish as soon as possible – which could see a big come back tour in the offing.

The album, who’s name comes from a re-working of the popular 1920’s music hit ‘Puttin’ on the Ritz’, is being produced by the singer and a team of producers that helped create some of the Spice Girl’s most popular tunes. It would be the 38 year-old’s fourth solo album.

The newspaper’s source said: "She’s working with some of the production teams behind some of the Spice Girls biggest hits. She’s very excited.” It looks as though the album will be very widely advertised – with the source also saying “Geri is very good at making sure she gets noticed and this will be no exception to that rule."

The singer herself is obviously very excited for the album and was quoted saying: "For me, 2011 has started off incredibly excitingly. Music and fashion, two working loves of my life, developing incredibly and both coming to fruition."

Keep posted on Stereoboard for information regarding the release of Geri’s up and coming album.
