Hard Fi Confirm UK Show At London's HMV Forum, New Single 'Good For Nothing' & Ticket Details

Following a three year hiatus, BRIT-nominated four-piece Hard Fi are back with a brand new single ‘Good for Nothing' and a UK show confirmed for September.

‘Good For Nothing’ is a true statement of intent; an anthemic rebel-rousing call to arms that signals the start of a new phase for the band.  Produced by frontman Richard Archer, the single has already received a mass of support from radio with Zane Lowe naming it his Hottest Record In The World Right Now and also playing it during his stint covering for Chris Moyles. More Radio 1 support has come from Fearne Cotton and XFM have also added to their daytime playlist with DJ Steve Harris naming it his Single of the Week.

Richard commented, “The last couple of years have flown by and I couldn't tell you why we seem to have been away for so long - I do know that we're really happy to be back, releasing a record and getting ready to play live again, something we've been missing and we're really, REALLY excited about. ‘Good For Nothing’ feels like a mini travelogue, it doesn't take itself too seriously, it felt perfect as our first record back. We really love it and hope you do to.”

The band have recently completed a run of low key warm up shows (Nottingham, Brighton and Bristol). The new tracks slid effortlessly into their sets with ‘Good For Nothing’ rapidly becoming a highlight. The shows are a reminder of just how many massive tracks the band have in their arsenal including ‘Tied Up Too Tight’, ‘Suburban Knights’, ‘Hard to Beat’, ‘Cash Machine’, ‘Living For The Weekend’, etc. Watch this space for news on upcoming live shows and festival appearances.

Taking a few years off to rest, travel and reflect on their past works, Hard-Fi are now ready to step back into the limelight and take things forward. Over the past 18 months, Hard-Fi have been working on their long-awaited third album, due out in September.  Recorded in LA and the band’s own Cherry Lips studio in Staines, overall production duties fell to Richard with assistance from Stuart Price (Killers, Madonna) Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen) & Alan Moulder (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Killers).

Hard-Fi emerged on the UK music scene in late 2005 to huge acclaim with their homegrown debut album 'Stars of CCTV' went on to sell in advance of a million copies (almost 900k in the UK) and was nominated for The 2006 Brit Awards for ‘Best British Group’ and ‘Best British Rock Act’ as well as a Mercury Music Award nod. The year concluded with 5 consecutive sold-out nights at Brixton Academy – the first band to do this on their debut album. Their 2007 follow up 'Once Upon A Time In the West' also debuted at no. 1 in the UK charts.

Hard Fi new single 'Good For Nothing' is released on June 19th.
