Ellie Goulding Didn't Tell Family or Friends About Royal Wedding Performance

Ellie Goulding has revealed that she managed to keep her Royal Wedding performance secret from her friends and family – even though she knew she’d be performing months in advance.
The 24-year old singer-songwriter is national treasure and was asked to perform at Prince Williams marriage to the now Princess Kate Middleton, on April 29th. Ellie was obviously over-joyed at being chosen to sing at the wedding, but she managed to keep her lips sealed in the run up to the wedding.
“I met William at a festival about a year ago, and they asked me to perform months prior to the wedding. So I knew about it for a while, but couldn't tell anybody!”
The 2010 Critic’s Choice then continued to talk about the feeling of playing in front of so many royals.
“It was an amazing honour to be asked by Kate and William. I never thought I'd feel that honoured. The atmosphere was incredible and it's something I will never forget.”
"I was nervous and overwhelmed. But it was just a fun night, a really great atmosphere. Afterwards, I didn't believe that I'd actually done it."
