Liam Gallagher Wants to Recruit Johnny Depp for Beatles Film

Beady Eye and Oasis man Liam Gallagher has begun making a feature length film about the Beatles – and he wants Johnny Depp to star as Dereck Taylor, the band’s publicist.
Gallagher is very excited about the film, and has set up his own production company called ‘In 1 Productions’ to help make the film, which is an adaptation of the book ‘The Longest Cocktail Party: An Insider's Diary Of The Beatles, Their Million Dollar Apple Empire And Its Wild Rise And Fall.’
Speaking to Q Magazine, the Mancunian told why he wants Depp to play this particular part in the film.
“Derek Taylor was a dude; He's up there with Lennon. The film script is done. It's gonna blow people's minds, man.
“I'm just waiting to find out when we choose the actors. I want Johnny Depp to play Derek Taylor. It's got Johnny Depp written all over it, man.”
The book ‘The Longest Cocktail Party...’ is a story written by Richard DiLello, who served as a ‘house hippy’ for the band’s Apple headquarters, about his wild three years with the band in which he got to know the Beatles, their wives and their managers, and his general life within the circle of the band.
No expected release date has been set for the film as of yet.
