New Beyonce Track ‘Party’ Appears Online – Listen Now

A new track from R&B Queen Beyonce has appeared online. Entitled ‘Party’ and taken from Beyonce’s upcoming studio album ‘4’, the song features contributions from both Kanye West and OutKast’s Andre 3000.

The song is a relaxed departure from her tribal-apocalyptic ‘Run The World (Girls)’, fusing Boyz II Men synths with melodic female vocal harmonies. The track has been produced by Kanye West and Consequence, and if it is set to be released as a single from the LP, it will have to wait until Beyonce has finished promoting the second track to be released from the album, ‘Best Thing I Never Had’.

Meanwhile, Beyonce has revealed that her upcoming album ‘4’ was heavily inspired by the likes of Prince, Florence and The Machine and Adele. Speaking to Billboard about the release, the singer listed a wide range of influences including "Earth Wind & Fire. I listened to a lot of DeBarge, a lot of Lionel Richie and Teena Marie, Jackson 5, New Edition, Florence and the Machine, Adele and Prince"

She continued, describing the album: "I don't know what genre my album is. There really isn't a genre for it. But I wanted to focus on bridges and chord changes and chord progressions and melody. And also add my hip-hop influences, and keep some of the aggressive staccato melodies and singing as well. I really wanted to focus on my vocal performance. I gave myself a lot more freedom to really belt out some of the songs."

‘4’ is scheduled for release on June 27th in the UK.
