Electronic music duo The Black Ghosts have confirmed details of their new album ‘When Animals Stare’, which is due for release on 18th July. The pair have made the album available to stream on their Soundcloud page, which you can listen to below. ‘When Animals Stare’ is the second album from The Black Ghosts, following their 2008 eponymous debut.
The Black Ghosts were formed in 2006 by Theo Keating – aka DJ Touche and Fake Blood – and Simon Lord. As well as being a renowned DJ, Keating previously made up one half of dance duo The Wiseguys, who were known for their hit singles ‘Start the Commotion’ and ‘Ooh La La’. Lord was once a member of the indie group Simian, who went on to become Simian Mobile Disco following his departure from the band. Simian’s track ‘Never Be Alone’ was remixed by French duo Justice in 2006 to become the dancefloor hit ‘We Are Your Friends’. Kanye West made one of his famous outbursts at the MTV Europe Music Awards in the same year, when his single ‘Touch the Sky’ was beaten to the award for Best Video by ‘We Are Your Friends’.
The Black Ghosts released their eponymous debut album in 2008. The album’s lead single ‘Repetition Kills You’ featured Damon Albarn on vocals and the track ‘Full Moon’ was used in the opening scene of the hit film ‘Twilight’.
