DEVolution Launch New 'Bad Love' Remix Competition

DEVolution will preview the release of their hotly-tipped debut single ‘Good Love’ (out August 29th) with the launch of a major competition powered by SoundCloud.

Aspiring remixers are invited to participate in the ‘Bad Love’ remix competition in order to win an enviable collection of prizes: the winner will see their mix released by One More Tune/Warner Bros. Records and will also receive £500 and a year’s SoundCloudPro account worth over £200.
 
All you need to do to enter the competition is to download the a cappella track from HERE, create your own winning remix and upload it to the site. And who better to provide some top tips than DEVolution’s Pete Devereux and Tom Devos?
 
“Now, we've had an idea. We all need a bit of Good Love in our lives (hence why we made a record about it), but how many of you want some real Bad Love in your lives?
 
We certainly do. And we mean BAD! Interpret that how you will, and whilst you are thinking about it download the special Bad Love a capella and then get to work. Do your worst; your absolute worst with it. Grimy, filthy, stinking beats coupled with the most abominable, nasty, twisted, booming bassline you can figure out. The winner takes all so this is no place for the faint-hearted, and people who do not Embrace The Bass most definitely need NOT apply.

Fans can vote for their favourite remixes, but the eventual winner will be judged by DEVolution themselves. The competition closes on August 29th and full rules for it can be found at www.wearedevolution.com/badlove/rules
 
DEVolution is a melting pot of influences collectively rooted in electronic music. But that’s hardly surprising given the heritage of its two protagonists. Pete Devereux conquered the mainstream once before as half of Artful Dodger, who propelled UK garage from the underground and into the charts. His new sparring partner is former Size Records and Reelgroove artist Tom Devos, who also scored a downtempo cult hit with The Dawn’s ‘Wonderful’.
