Meat-Hating Morrissey Makes Controversial Norwegian Attack Comments

Vegetarian crusader Morrissey has made an incredible claim about the recent Norwegian tragedies, almost certainly creating controversy surrounding the singer once again.

The singer-songwriter played a gig in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland, and proclaimed to the crowd that the killing and cooking of thousands of animals by KFC and McDonalds was WORSE than the Norwegian attacks in which 96 people have died.

Running through one of his fan favourites ‘Meat is Murder’, Morrissey began to talk about the state of today’s life and said: “We all live in a murderous world, as the events in Norway have shown, with 97 dead.”

He then continued: “Though that is nothing compared to what happens in McDonald’s and Kentucky Fried Shit every day.”

The comments unsurprisingly sparked outrage among groups of fans, and the Morrissey forums went wild with attacks on the former Smiths frontman.

“The killing of children compared to KFC & McDonald’s?!!! What an asshole!” wrote one angry user, while a different fan said: “I really don’t know if that is forgivable? Or of any use to the vegetarian cause?”

It is definitely not the first time Morrissey has made a crazy statement involving the protection of animals – one of his most controversial was when he famously described the Chinese as a ‘sub-species’ of people because of their apparently bad treatment of animals. What do you think of Morrissey’s vegetarianism? Let us know in the comments whether you think he is way OTT or whether you think Morrissey is a veggie-loving hero.
