Morrissey has announced more European tour dates for later this year.
The solo artist and former Smiths frontman has confirmed new shows in Norway, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Spain and Portugal for June, July and August, adding to his previously scheduled concerts in Italy on July 19 and 21.
Later in the year, he'll perform in France and the Netherlands in December, wrapping up with a special New Year's Eve show in Brussels, Belgium.
Morrissey, who has a reputation for scrapping and postponing shows, cancelled a concert in Valencia last month after being left sleep-deprived during the city’s Las Fallas festival. He previously axed US gigs in St. Petersburg in Florida, San Diego, St. Louis and Atlanta due to an adverse reaction to prescription medication and illness.
Tickets for his new European dates go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (April 24).
The shows will see Morrissey continue to support his new album, and first body of work in six years, 'Make-Up Is A Lie', released via Warner Music Group's Sire Records in March, following up 2020's 'I Am Not A Dog On A Chain.'
Earlier this month, Morrissey released the single Happy Tears from the sessions for 'Make-Up Is A Lie'. Though it was left off the album's final tracklist, it'll appear on a deluxe 12-inch vinyl edition of the 'Make-Up Is A Lie' track Notre-Dame, alongside an orchestrated version and another new song titled Hello Hell, due out through Sire Records on May 22.
Morrissey is also set to headline Darker Waves Festival in Huntington Beach, California in November.
