Gnarls Barkley Set To Reunite ‘Very Soon’

Thursday, 11 August 2011 Written by James Conlon

Cee Lo Green has claimed that his hit-making side project Gnarls Barkley will begin working on new material “Very Soon”. The duo, which comprises of Green and New York producer Danger Mouse, released their last LP ‘The Odd Couple’ in 2008, gaining worldwide fame with instant hit ‘Crazy’.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Green stated that Gnarls Barkley would commence writing and recording new material in the near future. He said: "We'll definitely get together sometime very soon to start talks about what we collectively agree is the new direction for Gnarls Barkley.”

He continued: "We talk on occasion and he's about as preoccupied as I am at the moment, doing other projects. But then again, we might not talk at all and just do it when the time is right because we've never discussed it before."

Meanwhile, Cee Lo Green recently released the video for his latest single ‘Cry Baby’. The track is the fifth to be taken of his 2010 album ‘The Lady Killer’, following on from the huge success of his viral smash ‘Fuck You’. The video features Jaleel White in an all-singing and all-dancing portrayal of Cee Lo Green in 1940’s style America, and you can watch it below:
