Katy Perry Equals Michael Jackson's Hot 100 Record

Superstar Katy Perry became the first female to get five tracks from one album to #1 in the Hot 100 this week, becoming only the second person in the 53-year history of the chart.
Katy’s second album ‘Teenage Dreams’ has earned her five #1 singles from the six she has released, with ‘California Gurls’, ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘Firework’, ‘E.T.’ and her latest hit ‘Last Friday Night (TGIF)’ all topping the charts. The feat has only been equalled by the King of Pop Michael Jackson, who achieved the same with his album ‘Bad’ in 1987.
Not only did she achieve this extraordinary accomplishment in the Hot 100, but she also became the first artist to have five #1s from the same album in the Billboard Pop chart, as well as becoming the second artist in modern-day BDS chart monitoring to notch six consecutive No. 1 singles.
