Folk Legend Christy Moore Announces Spring 2012 UK Tour

Legendary Irish folk singer-songwriter Christy Moore has announced a UK tour for Spring 2012.

Founder of classic folk band Planxty, occasional member of folk 'supergroup' Moving Hearts, not to mention one of the best songwriters Ireland has ever produced, Christopher Andrew "Christy" Moore will play a six-date UK tour in April next year. Starting the tour at Leeds Town Hall on April 1st, Christy will also stop in Cardiff, a two-night residency in London before heading onto Liverpool and Newcastle.

Described as “the Bob Dylan of Irish music”, Christy Moore was named as Ireland's greatest living musician in RTE's People of the Year Awards in 2007. You may have spotted him earlier this Summer at Oxegen Festival when he joined Coldplay's Chris Martin on stage to perform the song 'Ride On'.

Christy Moore UK Tour Dates are as follows:

April 2012

Apr 1st - Leeds Town Hall
Apr 2nd - Cardiff Millennium Centre - Onsale Friday 16th September
Apr 4th - London Royal Festival Hall
Apr 5th - London Royal Festival Hall
Apr 7th - Liverpool Philharmonic
Apr 8th - Newcastle City Hall

Christy Moore Tickets are onsale now, except for the Cardiff date which is onsale from 9am on Friday 16th September.
