Christy Moore is an Irish folk singer-songwriter and guitarist from Newbridge, County Kildare.
Having started his music career in 1969, he has released 21 studio albums, including his debut, ‘Paddy On The Road’, in 1969. His first major release, ‘Prosperous,’ came out in 1972, and his latest album, ‘Lily’, dropped in 2016 via Sony Music. He has also been a member of Planxty and Moving Hearts. In 2007 he was named Ireland's greatest living musician in RTÉ's People of the Year Awards.
He has headlined his own shows and tours across Ireland and the UK, including joining Coldplay on stage at Oxegen Festival in 2011, to play the song Ride On.
Christy Moore will return to perform at Live at the Marquee in Cork next summer. Moore, who recently released 'On The Road', will take to the stage on June 30.
