Van Halen Album To See Release Early On Next Year

Californian rock legends Van Halen will be releasing their highly-anticipated new album early on next year, it has been reported.

The new record will be the band’s first new material since 1998’s Van Halen III, but fans are extra eager for this LP because it’s also the first to feature original vocalist David Lee Roth in 27 years. And, according to reports, the album’s almost finished.

There were doubts over the album seeing a release any time soon after it was revealed that the band had split from its longstanding record label Warner, which they’ve been partnered with for 35 years. But, after agreeing a deal with Sony’s Columbia Records, the album is destined for a release – and although it’s unlikely it’ll hit shelves this year, it’ll almost certainly come out early on next year.

And according to album producer Ross Hogarth, it looks like Warner Records will be missing out – he told Ultimate Guitar that the new album sees the band at their original best.

“It’s the killing side of Van Halen at the top of their game again with Diamond Dave, and the band on fire,” said Hogarth.
