Melanie C has released a new single, Undefeated Champion.
The empowering dance-pop track is the third preview of the singer's new album 'Sweat', following What Could Possibly Go Wrong? and the title track. She said:
“‘Undefeated Champion’ is about getting knocked down and choosing to rise every single time. It’s a reminder that the hardest moments are the ones that make us stronger. It’s faith over fear, joy in the face of adversity - almost challenging the universe: ‘come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough!’ At its core, it’s about realising we’re far more resilient than we think.”
The follow-up to her 2020 self-titled LP is due for release on May 1 and she'll support it with album launch events at relatively intimate venues across the UK in late April and throughout May.
The former Spice Girls member has also announced The Melanie C World Tour, which will head across North America in September, the UK and Europe in October, and to Japan and Australia in November. The UK and Ireland run will include her previously confirmed London show at the O2 Academy Brixton on October 23.
Tickets for the new dates go on general sale at 10am local time on March 20. All other shows are on sale now.
