LTJ Bukem DJing in Cardiff's Clwb Ifor Bach This Friday

LTJ Bukem, one of the world’s most recognised and respected drum and bass DJs and producers, is coming to Cardiff this Friday (7th) – and you’d be a fool to miss him.

Bukem, aka Danny Williamson, has been one of the biggest names in the game since the genre’s birth years back in the very early 90s, and has stayed at the top of the top ever since. Combined with the soulful MC Conrad, who compliments Bukem’s sound like Page does Plant’s, the two bring an awe-inspiring and truly unique liquid sound – the same sound that catapulted the pair to the top. Bukem’s ‘Big Bud Drum and Bass’ was the first drum and bass tune I ever listened to, and it still has that same hair-raising effect on me whenever I listen to it now – It’s simply amazing.

But, what’s more amazing is how Aperture, Cardiff’s only 100% drum and bass night, have managed to secure the booking of such an illustrious and prestigious name. The usual Friday night regulars in Cardiff’s Clwb Ifor Bach are in for an absolute treat – countless headliners come and go through the doors of the Welsh Club, like Drumsound and Basslinesmith (who played two weeks ago), Doc Scott, Hamilton and many more, but it’s not often that the grimier, purer lower-capacity raves receive a DJ with a status equal to that of Bukem’s. But that’s exactly what Dan Aperture has given us.

So if you want to catch LTJ Bukem in probably the most intimate venue you’ll ever see him, alongside Cardiff’s own resident DJs Fluidity, Kooley, Mikey-Ro, Motive, Sundance and Tolerance, as well as MC Reuben and DroneBoy’s hip-hop filled room 2, get down to the Welsh Club this Friday 7th October!
