RnB diva Rihanna was spotted on the London underground yesterday – catching the Tube to her own concert.
The ‘S&M’ singer kicked off her ten-night stint at the London O2 Arena last night, and decided to get really close and personal to her London-based fans – by travelling with them on the underground the show. Minus a fairly large entourage, Rihanna may have been mistaken for just another pedestrian by members of the public who wouldn’t recognise her by face, and posed for pictures and chatted with commuters while she made her way to the venue.
Rihanna is a superstar in her own right, setting a record by lining-up ten nights at the massive O2 Arena, the most that one female artist has ever done – which is why a source told The Sun that fans were in disbelief when they realised who they were on the carriage with.
“Fans couldn't believe they were sharing a carriage with a world famous pop star. She was just like any other passenger, except accompanied by a huge entourage. She was happy to pose for snaps and talk about the gig. She was so down to earth.”
And not only the Barbados-born beauty put on a hell of a show that night, which she described on Twitter as her ‘BEST SHOW EVERRR!!!!’, she also managed to win a MOBO Award for ‘Best International Singer’ – now that’s award-winning multi-tasking.
