X-Factor boyband One Direction have spilt the beans on their new album, telling of their collaborations with star singers and pro producers.
The British and Irish group of teens, signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco record label, will release their debut album on November 21st – after already putting out a #1 single in ‘What Makes You Beautiful’. They may have topped the charts at the first attempt, but they haven’t held back with their first LP – which features production Moroccan production guru RedOne , as well as red-headed singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
Talking about the new album, band-member Zayn Malik told the Daily Star: “It's anthemic. We can't say that enough times. To work with RedOne was such a big deal. It's more like the sound he created with Nicole Scherzinger. Powerful.”
Niall Horan also spoke of their new record – and he apparently loved working with ‘The A-Team’ singer Ed Sheeran.
“Getting to write and record with Ed on our album was an honour. We need a ginger guy in the group. The closest thing we have is an Irish guy, me.”
Louis Tomlinson agreed, saying “Ed is phenomenal. He's been one of the artists who has blown up in a major way. We were surprised by the album because it's more like the calm, acoustic nice guy Ed. I thought he was going to give us more of that 'You Need Me' vibe.”
