Eagles of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes Presents ‘On The Road’ Today

Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse “The Devil” Hughes presents Episode Four of ‘On The Road’, a new documentary series from VICE and Marshall Headphones, which premieres online today (Thursday 13th October) at VICE.com. The series pays homage to some of rock and roll’s lesser-known characters, who spend much of their lives on tour. Watch the trailer for ‘On The Road’ below.
In Episode Four of ‘On the Road’, Jesse Hughes speaks to some of the ladies of The Road to find out what it’s like for them to work in the male-dominated world of rock and roll. Among those he meets along the way are Megan Tobin, a former lighting tech for the likes of Metallica, Michael Jackson and Guns n’ Roses, Patty Schemel, the former drummer with Hole, and Laura-Jean Hyde, who has worked on tours with the likes of Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie. All three women tell Jesse about some of the crazy things they have seen whilst on tour with some of rock’s greatest legends. Jesse also visits Hollywood’s Museum of Death with his hero Ian Astbury of The Cult.
Speaking about the episode, Jesse said: “To be ladies in rock ‘n’ roll, to be bad ass, to be respected, is in no small way a little accomplishment.”
Jesse Hughes presents the first six episodes of the 12-part series, followed by Les Savy Fav frontman Tim Harrington, who will present the second half of ‘On The Road’. The series can also be watched at the Marshall Headphones website.
