Mancunian alternative rock legends The Stone Roses will be returning to the music scene for a long-awaited reunion – and it’ll be absolutely ‘massive’ according to The Sun.
The newspaper were apparently interviewing Ian Brown’s ‘good pal’ Dynamo about the reunion, which was revealed back in April, when the magician received a text from Ian Brown that said “We are going to rule the world again. It's happening.”
Dynamo went on to comment, saying “He said it's true. It is definitely happening. Ian's on great form. I'll be at the gigs. It's going to be massive.” His pal Shaun Ryder agreed, saying “It has been coming for a while. It's amazing what a divorce will make you do.”
Earlier this year tenacious band members John Squire and Ian Brown buried the hatchet after not talking for over 15 years. That development, followed by the scheduling of a press conference by the band this week, sparked rumours that something BIG is to be announced by Stone Roses very soon. Now, following Dynamo’s text message, it seems like there certainly will be a big announcement for fans – and that any kind of tour will be an absolutely huge one.
Stereoboard will update you on the Stone Roses as soon as the special announcement has been made – watch this space!
