Noel Gallagher Kicks Off UK & Ireland Tour with 9 Oasis Songs

Noel Gallagher may have moved onto bigger and better things with his new band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, with their debut album set to hit #1 this week before it’s released in the US next month. But he just couldn’t put his time in Oasis to sleep – and played nine of his old band’s tracks on the first leg of his new tour in Ireland yesterday.
On the back of announcing a new cast of tour dates, which you can see below, Noel and his new group of musicians worked through an Oasis-orientated set, with an almost equal number of Oasis and High Flying Birds tracks inside. The news will most likely please those who have tickets to the remainder of his gigs, as they get the chance to witness the old and the new of Noel Gallagher.
The singer and his band went through Oasis classics like ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’, ‘Supersonic’ and ‘The Importance of Being Idle’, as well as Noel’s new hits like ‘A.K.A What a Life’, ‘If I Had a Gun’ and ‘The Good Rebel’, in a set which was sure to please fans – it even featured a brand new song.
