Francis Neve Reveals Video For New Single 'Dance Around The Fire' - Watch Now

Producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Francis Neve will release his new single ‘Dance Around The Fire’ on December 5th 2011. It follows the BBC 6 Music-endorsed ‘I Won’t Make You Better’, the third and final single taken from his acclaimed debut album, ‘The Second Time We First Met.’

‘Dance Around The Fire’ sees Neve move into more upbeat, celebratory territory. “I’ve got a lot more positive energy at the moment and it’s coming through in my music,” he says.

The track was borne out of what Neve terms ‘the most unusual summer we’ve had in London.’  He continues: “The sentiment is a really positive one ... The song is trying to focus on the good things in life and how we treat each other rather than the bad that we always hear about in the news. Its hopeful."

The B-side showcases the electronics of the vocoder-driven ‘I Lie,’ with two excellent remixes of previous single ‘Brian’s Drying Up,’ by hotly-tipped Bangatang, and the second reworking by DJ Ruckspin.

Francis has been busy in 2011: he’s co-produced and mixed for Babeshadow and has also recently been co writing tunes with Chris Hayden (Florence & The Machine). In addition, he has been recording and producing a string of tracks for  Pixie Geldoff, as well as a remix for hotly-tipped new band Echotape.

The debut album, ‘The Second Time We First Met,’ was released last year, winning over reels of acclaim from both critics and fans. Francis has also recently recorded a live session on BBC London – watch them perform ‘I Won’t Make You Better’ below.
