Van Halen Set For Reunion At 2011 Grammy Awards?

Rock legends Van Halen are set to make a huge announcement live on stage at the Grammy Nominations Concert on November 30th.

The group have been rumoured to be making a comeback for ages, with speculation that they’d be appearing at Download or Sonisphere festival next year and that they’d be putting out new music soon – but there’s rumours like those about every retired rock band under the sun.

Then, a couple of days ago, rumours were sparked once again after a statement from the Recording Company, who organise the Grammys, told readers that the show will also “feature a special live announcement from a truly iconic group regarding their historic band reunion set to take place.”

Website HitFix.com has suggested that the ‘iconic group’ in question could be Van Halen and that the band may even debut one of their speculated brand new singles at the show. But, at this point, the rumours seemed possible – and nothing more.

Until, that is, the official Grammy Twitter account decided to leave fans with the biggest hint they probably could have thought of – writing: “Who do u predict the reuniting band will be @ #GRAMMYnoms? http://grm.my/vH7p3Y Does this hint make u wanna “Jump” & “Dance the Night Away”?”

Now you probably don’t need me to tell you that ‘Jump’ and ‘Dance the Night Away’ were two of Van Halen’s biggest hits... So you’re either going to see a Van Halen reunion on the 30th of November, or you’ve been cruelly tricked by evil Grammy masterminds.
