Simian Ghost Release Video to New Single ‘Bicycle Theme’ – Watch Now

Wednesday, 09 November 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Swedish electro trio Simian Ghost have unveiled a video for their latest single ‘Bicycle Theme’, which is out this week. The track is taken from the band’s new ‘Lovelorn EP’, which is due for release on 14th November. Watch the video for ‘Bicycle Theme’ below.

Simian Ghost released their debut album ‘Infinite Traffic Everywhere’ last year and are expected to bring out its follow-up in February or March 2012. The band have previously toured with the likes of Mount Kimbie, SBTRKT and Niki and the Dove in Sweden.

‘Lovelorn’ is a 7-track EP and is Simian Ghost’s first official release in the UK. Speaking about the record, founding member and songwriter Sebastian Arnström said: “The initial ambition was to make an EP, consisting exclusively of electronic material. A collection of songs all conceived in my messy living room. Very DIY, even more so than the last record, I guess. It’s the kind of stuff I do when I get home from work or from rehearsal, personal stuff. The song ‘Gently Submissive’, for example, has a very soft quality to it. Mainly because I recorded it in the middle of the night and I didn't want to wake up the neighbours. I really find that nice, when very tangible stuff like that creeps into the music. In the end, it all comes down to the fact that I need to keep myself occupied to avoid full-on neurosis.”
