Nicola Roberts To Release New Single 'Yo-Yo'

Ex-Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts will be releasing ‘Yo-Yo’, the third single to be taken from her first ever debut album, on January 2nd.

The single was written by Nicola herself, along with French producer Dimitri Tikovoi, and follows previous singles ‘Beat of my Drum’ and ‘Lucky Day.’ The critically acclaimed album itself, ‘Cinderella’s Eyes’, was quoted in The Sunday Times as a ‘madly magnificent solo album’ while The Sun said it was ‘a winner’.

“The song is about being in that position with a guy when you really don’t know whether you’re coming or going,” explains Nicola. “Being in that position can make you really vulnerable. It’s the dark, desperate and doubtful side of love.”

The CD single will be released with a live version of Yo-Yo and a demo version of her original album track, Sticks + Stones, a moving track which she wrote about her struggle with bullies.

As well as being one of the hottest pop stars around, Nicola is as busy outside the recording studio as she is in it. An astute business woman, her Dainty Doll make up range continues to go from strength to strength under her careful eye. The beauty line, created by Nicola for pale skin tones, is now stocked in Boots - one of the biggest retailers in the UK.
