Glastonbury To Install Washing Machines For 2013 Festival

Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has revealed that washing machines will be available to use at the next festival.

The long-time Glastonbury boss will be installing the washing facilities at Worthy Farm in time for the next festival which takes place in Summer 2013. The washing machines will be a welcome sight to muddy campers wishing to freshen up during the five-day event.

Glastonbury operations director Melvin Benn explained the forthcoming addition of washing machines to the The Sun newspaper: "Older fans are getting far more demanding and we have to respond. That means better toilets and now washing machine facilities."

The next Glastonbury Festival is set to take place in 2013, following a scheduled recuperation break in 2012 to allow the farmland to recover from the last few years.

June 2011's Glastonbury saw festival goers swamped by mud as heavy rain fell on the site during the first few days. Despite the bad start however, Glastonbury Festival was recently awarded 'Best Major Festival' at the UK Festival Awards 2011.
