Norah Jones to Release New Album with The Little Willies

The Little Willies, a country music group featuring singer-songwriter Norah Jones, have announced the release of their second album ‘For the Good Times’, which is due out on 9th January 2012. The album is the follow-up to the band’s 2006 eponymous debut and features 12 cover versions of some classic country songs by artists such as Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. Jones is joined in The Little Willies by bass player Lee Alexander, drummer Dan Rieser and guitarists Jim Campilongo and Richard Julian. The band were originally formed in 2003 and their debut album included covers of tracks by Kris Kristofferson and Hank Williams.

The Little Willies’ track ‘Love Me’ was included on Jones’s 2010 album ‘…Featuring’ – a collection of collaborations between the singer and a number of other acts such as Foo Fighters, Outkast, Ryan Adams and Ray Charles. ‘…Featuring’ followed Jones’s four original solo albums, three of which reached Number One in the UK Albums Chart.
