Monday, 21 November 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Fleet Foxes have unveiled the full eight-minute video for the new single ‘The Shrine/An Argument’, which is due for release on 12th December. The new video is an animated film directed by Sean Pecknold, the older brother of Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold. Sean has also directed several of the band’s earlier videos.

‘The Shrine/An Argument’, which is over eight minutes in length, is one of the tracks taken from Fleet Foxes’ second album ‘Helplessness Blues’. The album reached Number Two in the UK Albums Chart upon its release earlier this year. The new single will be released as a limited edition 12" containing live versions of ‘The Shrine / An Argument’ and ‘Blue Spotted Tail’, both recorded at the BBC, with ‘Montezuma’ on the B-side.

Fleet Foxes will be performing a one-off date at Leeds O2 Academy on Thursday 1st December as part of a short European tour before heading over to Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Support for the Leeds show will come from the band’s Bella Union label-mates Vetiver, who recently released their own album ‘The Errant Charm’. See below for tickets.
