Nicola Roberts Unveils Video For 'Yo-Yo' Release - Watch Now

Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts is to kick off the New Year with the release of her new single ‘Yo-Yo’, which has also received a music video which you can watch below.
‘Yo-Yo’ hits shelves on January 8th and was written by Nicola with Dimitri Tikovoi. ‘Yo-Yo’ marries classic pop lyrics (‘Don’t want to be the last to know / Will it be a yes or a no?’) to a pulsing, demented electro breakdown.
“The song is about being in that position with a guy when you really don’t know whether you’re coming or going,” Nicola explained. “Being in that position can make you really vulnerable. It’s the dark, desperate and doubtful side of love.”
The CD single will be released with a live version of Yo-Yo and a demo version of her original album track, Sticks + Stones, a moving track which she wrote about her struggle with bullies.
‘Yo-Yo’ is the third release from Nicola’s critically acclaimed debut solo album, ‘Cinderella’s Eyes’, and it follows previous singles ‘Beat of my Drum’ and ‘Lucky Day.’ The album was amazingly well received in the press - ‘Cinderella’s Eyes’ was quoted in The Sunday Times as a ‘madly magnificent solo album’ while The Sun said it was ‘a winner’; Glamour called it an ‘incredible first album’
