Muse To Make 'Radical' Change In Style For New Album

Alternative rock titans Muse have warned fans that there next album will feature materials ‘radically different’ from their previous LPs.

The band have a very unique sound, involving fusing many different varieties of music together to create ‘space rock’, a genre they are often founded labelled under. But the electronica-influenced rockers look to be set for a change in style, with their new record set to hit shelves in autumn 2012.

“We feel like we are drawing a line under a certain period of what we've done in our career,” Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme told rock magazine Kerrang. “It feels like it's time to move on and do something radically different.”

He went on to say that although it would be tricky finding their new style, but knew that at any time “you could get into the studio and go back to what you're comfortable with. You get in the studio and there's a natural process and you have to see where a song will take you.”

With Muse one of the most electronica-ish rock bands around, they could possibly follow Korn’s route, which has seen the nu-metal pioneers starting their own fusion of dubstep and metal.
