New York-based singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey has unveiled the video to her new single ‘Born to Die’, which is set to hit shelves on January 23rd.
The video features the future popstar standing between a pair of tigers, sitting in a throne, before her tattooed model is seen solemnly looking over her bloodied body. The model is the same who was seen clutching Lana in the looped preview of the video which had been released earlier in the month. This also acts as the intro to the vid.
The singer is considered by many in the industry as one of the stars of 2012, and is one of the most hyped-about newcomers of the moment – even her YouTube comments reflect the idea, with the top comment on the ‘Born to Die’ reading ‘Lana = 2012’. Her debut album ‘Born to Die’ is set for a January 30th release, with the single of the same name a week prior.
Lana has already released ‘Video Games’, which turned out to be one of the songs that has blasted her towards the limelight. It has been used on numerous television programmes, including TOWIE and Gossip Girl. Lana also performed the track on Later... With Jools Holland.
