Lady Gaga Voted 'Most Overrated' Artist Of 2011

She may have been one of the most listened to, followed and ‘liked’ artists in the world, not to mention THE highest earning female of 2011, but Lady Gaga was dealt a blow today after being voted the most overrated act of the year.

The eccentric pop superstar has had one of the most successful years of her career, bringing out of her third studio album ‘Born This Way’ and playing some of the biggest shows she’s ever performed at. But, admittedly, it was hard to go five minutes without hearing Gaga’s name and the voters over at Billboard found her the most overrated artist – with the ‘Telephone’ singer getting 30% of the votes.

Closely following Gaga in the vote was pop singer Britney Spears, who had 29% of the votes, and marmite Canadian star Justin Bieber who had 21%. Despite ‘winning’ (losing?) the vote, Gaga will carry on with her massive career and is expected to announce tour dates sometime in the near future.

Interestingly, Gaga somehow managed to pick up the award for Best Fashion, wowing voters with her random and outrageous dress designs, which includes the rather disgusting meat dress. She picked up 30% of the votes once again, with Rihanna and Nicki Minaj picking up 25% and 13% respectively.
