Michael Bublé's 'Christmas' Album Tops Chart

Monday, 19 December 2011 Written by Elliott Batte

Canadian singer-songwriter Michael Bublé has reclaimed the UK Album Chart top-spot with his new album ‘Christmas’, managing to sell over 269,000 copies this week – the most by any album this year.

Bublé pipped late Amy Winehouse’ posthumous LP ‘Lioness: Hidden Treasures’ to #1 after Amy topped the charts last week. Alternative rockers Coldplay managed to sneak into #3, moving up from #8 last week after their performance on X-Factor boosted ‘Mylo Xyloto’ sales by 113%.

Holding #4th for the second week in a row is Olly Murs’ ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’, followed by Rihanna’s ‘Talk That Talk’, both of which managed to shift over 100,000 copies since the beginning of last week.

Stereoboard understands that chart-topper Bublé will be announcing a 2012 UK tour in the next couple of weeks – stay with us to find out his tour dates first.
