Solo Artist King Charles Announces UK Tour Dates

London-based solo artist King Charles has announced a series of UK live dates in February and March, including a show in London as part of HMV’s Next Big Thing festival. The tour will be coincided with the release of a new single ‘LoveBlood’ on 20th February. The track is the latest to be taken from King Charles’s as-yet-untitled debut album, which is due out in the spring.

King Charles put the finishing touches to his debut album in LA earlier this year, although most of the record was recorded at home in London. In 2009, shortly after the release of his debut EP, King Charles suffered a near-fatal accident that delayed work on his first album until last year. Since then he has toured with Mumford and Sons in the US and become the first British artist to win the prestigious International Songwriting Competition in Nashville, Tennessee.

The forthcoming album hears King Charles borrowing influences from an assortment of genres including Afro-beat, rock and roll, glam, folk, hip-hop, country and pop.
