Will Young Wants Career Break

British singer-songwriter Will Young has confessed that he’d love nothing more than a year off work – but his intense work schedule means he can’t.
The Pop Idol star, who released his fifth studio album earlier this year, is set to take a break from the scene after working himself silly in the last couple of years, but unfortunately can’t a whole year out – and has settled for three months.
“I want to take three months off at least,” Young explained to Bang Showbiz. “Ideally, I want to take a year off, but I don't know if I can, so three months. I absolutely love taking time off. It's really important. After a few days off, it's amazing how lazy you can become. It's slightly terrifying. I used to have a problem switching off, but now I don't have a problem at all.”
Young continued on to talk about what he’s going to be getting up to when he’s briefly stepped away from the game – saying that he’d like to travel to Africa, see the Northern Lights and go whale-watching.
“I like travelling, I like going to see different places, so it's still interesting. My favourite continent is Africa. I think the people of the Cameroon are amazing and beautiful. Namibia is stunning, and Mozambique is really beautiful, so it would be hard to pick between those three. They're just amazing people in Africa. I'm hoping to go again. There's something really magical about Africa.
“I want to go whale watching, I think it would be amazing. I want to see the Northern Lights, but I don't know if I'll get the chance because you've only got until March so I don't know if I'll have time. I want to do one trip to somewhere, Scandinavia, the Arctic, that sort of area.”
